Hi!
My name is Kaitlynn Stein, and I am currently working as a freelance videographer, producer, and editor based in Philadelphia, PA. Many people ask me why I decided to go into video production. My answer is simple; I didn't think I could. When I started studying Entertainment & Arts Management at Drexel University, I went in thinking two things. The first was that I could never make a film, and the second being that I would never be a freelancer. I ended up doing both of these things.
There are a couple of things I am proud to have accomplished in my career so far. For my senior project, I created a documentary called, Homeless Chronicles. This film follows my journey to find the truth about why I became homeless as a child and how it has affected me since. The reason I am proud of this film is not because I was helping to change the stigma on mental health and homelessness, although that was one of the most important goals, it is because I took on every role to create the film. I produced, filmed, edited, and even distributed it myself, with some help from a few mentors along the way. I proved to myself that I could make a film and make a difference.
The other thing I am proud to have accomplished is winning an award at the Emmys. During the 2019 mid-atlantic Emmy awards, I was honored to be nominated and chosen as a winner of the Student Production Award. I received this honor for a project I did for DNews that highlighted Drexel University's partnership with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I will never forget that unique experience
I am also obsessed with TV, to the point where I will watch a show over and over and over... well you get the point. I truly believe that media has the power to change the world. It is a power that can not be taken lightly. Many TV shows have understood this power and work to educate its audience on issues and the world we live in. This what I want to be a part of. I want my work to educate, inspire, and make the world a better place.

I am always open to new projects. If you would like to get in touch, contact me at kaitlynnstein@gmail.com.
